lila oddly woke up at 7:30am this morning. it’s not like her to wake up until 9am or later because of her seizure medicine makes her sleepy. so i knew something just wasn’t right. i finally woke up from my morning haze (i’ve been so exhausted lately, i’ve been taking 2 hour naps a DAY!), and looked over at lila and her eyes were fixed to the left and shaking. i knew it. exactly 2 months without a seizure and she has a break through the day her daddy goes back to work. after i gave her valium, and it came out, i called the doc’s and we rushed her in. luckily the seizure stopped, but boy didn’t lila cry her eyes out for 1.5 hours straight. see the valium makes her very sleepy, her muscles very week, and just over all BLAH feeling. so she was exahusted from having the seizure and the valium just added to the mornings event. i thought my head was going to explode from my migraine (which ultimately started by lila’s crying.)and i was so sick to my stomach from not eating breakfast. the on call pediatrician checked out lila (he’s a funny doctor, Dr. S and he wears tie-dye socks and says “shucks” and “oh rats”…haha) and all was well. on the ride home, lila feel asleep. she was so darn tired that when i carried her into the house, she slept the entire time! and is still sleeping 3 hours later. and yes i checked to make sure she’s still breathing. that valium is no joke. sometimes in large doses, it can mess with your heart and breathing.because it makes your muscles weak. so i have a watchful eye on her. my sweet little girl. i hate when bad things happen to good people. just stinks:(
