as the months and years move on, i know people will be asking questions:) so every time i get a page friendly question, i will put it here for everyone to see!
i heard you cloth diaper, what brand do you use? your opinions on cloth diapering? like it? dislike it? is it good for the baby? any tools that i will need to cloth diaper my baby successfully?
i currently use SUNBABY diapers and LOVE LOVE them! at first i purchased bum genius, but found out they didn’t fit around lila’s tiny little thighs and they didn’t have adjustments. so i found out about sunbaby through a friend and did some research on their website. first off, i heart their patterns! i was just on there now and they have new cute girly ones…booo!! lila already has 24 diapers, which is enough for now. maybe an excuse to have another baby?!?! hahaha! sunbaby diapers are affordable..wayyy affordable! they are perfect one size diapers that adjust as baby grows and i enjoy the adjustable legs on the diapers. no more poo coming out ! yaay!

i can walk right by the diaper section at the grocery store!
no more filling our landfills of disposable diapers! they clean up well and you put them on the line to bleach the poo stains (with the sun)!
you can use them over and over again until they are potty trained!
say good bye rashes..because baby skin can breathe better with cloth diapers!
and they are over all cute to wear, if baby wants to run around nekked!
some con’s..
they aren’t fun to use while traveling. who wants a poo smelling car? not me! so i use disposable while we travel:)
you actually have to rid the poo inside the diapers before putting them in the wash. yuck.
you have to invest in them, $150..but like i said before, you can use them over and over again.
more laundry. you have to wash them, dry them, and put the inserts back inside of them. honestly though, i don’t mind cloth diaper loads! i love folding them!
you have to wash them with special detergent.
and at times they can stink up the bathroom. i use arm and hammer in the cloth diaper basket and this seems to aid the problem.
yes the diapers are really good for babies! they help their bottoms breaaathe! since we’ve been using them, lila hasn’t had ONE diaper rash! at the nicu..lila had the worst rash known to man kind, they even had to prescribe her medication for that raw bum of hers. since cloth diapers, it’s really helped her in that department.
ahh tools:) buy a hamper to put the yucky cloth diapers in and use it ONLY for cloth diapers. you will need a special detergent.i use CHARLIES SOAP on HOT water setting. you might want to purchase a SPRAYER for those real icky diapers. i got one for mothers day and i make dane do the job! hahahaha! i just don’t have the stomach.
overall, it’s an amazing thing to invest in for your children! i plan to cloth diaper all my kids and hopefully only have to purchase very few disposable diapers:)
